Yuri’s Night
It's time to board the best spaceflight on planet Earth.
The annual Yuri's Night space party transforms the Museum into a 21+ intergalactic nightclub celebrating real and imagined spaceflight with music, dancing, cosplay, art and astrotalk. Dance the night away in our towering glass gallery with some of the best electronic music DJs from Seattle and beyond. Headlining on the Main Floor is Gene Farris, along with Alfonso Tan and Bad Ginger. Yuri’s Night space parties are held around the world, and the Museum's is the biggest in North America. Spacey fashions are encouraged!
You can also choose some different grooves at a Silent Disco with three channels by c89.5 / MMBASSY, Milo House and Shameless Northwest! Farin and DJ Mia Maya will be playing for C89.5/MMBASSY
Choose from an eclectic mix of drinks and food trucks to fuel your night of dancing, while virtual reality experiences, photo ops and space-themed activities add to the fun.
Want to talk to a real astronaut? Be there for the start of the event for a Q&A and Fireside Chat in the space lounge with astronaut Chris Sembroski and the Museum's Space Curator.
Be a part of space history. With a theme of “celebrating the power of space to bring the world together,” Yuri's Night parties and celebrations are held around the world every April in commemoration of Yuri Gagarin becoming the first human to venture into space on April 12, 1961, and of the launch of the first Space Shuttle on April 12, 1981. You are go for launch!
